UniStem Day 2020 – the event in Coimbra
On the 6th of March 25 students from the High School Dra. Maria Cândida, from Mira in Coimbra, Portugal spent the morning at the Biology of Reproduction and Stem Cells Group Lab. Professor João Ramalho-Santos, the group leader, gave the talk “Stem Cells, what are they?” and Bibiana Silva, a PhD student, talked about reprogramming pluripotent cells into totipotent. Then, students visited 2 labs and played Stem Maze game – a Science Communication game about cellular differentiation, developed by our Science Communication Office.
