UniStem Day 2020 – the event in Berlino

240 students and 15 teachers came to the Max Delbrück Center für Molecular Medicine (MDC) and spent the day with stem cells.

First with three lectures with a main focus on application we heard about heart surgery and muscle diseases and approaches for new cell therapies combined with genetic modification.

Afterwards the students divides into workshops, lab tours, ethic-discussions and lectures about different aspects of stem cell research. The students were really enthusiastic and very interested.

The German Stem Cell Network used the UniStem Day to launch their new poster exhibition with interactive digital information space “cells for life” to an audience and the reception was really encouraging, showing the broad interest in the field of stem cell research.
