Let’s imagine for a second research as a beautiful and blooming plant: the freedom could be the florid soil that allows her to grow, fundamental for her health; the daily discoveries as her flowers, the final result of long and hard work hidden through her branches; parasites as fake news that affect her integrity and beauty. In order for the plant of research to continue growing, today more than ever, it is necessary to take care of her, cultivating curiosity and anchoring to proofs, that like water and light, are fundamental resources for her survival.
Research freedom as a fundamental right, new discoveries in the stem cell field, and how to recognize fake news: these are some of the topics that will be discussed during the seminars, debates and laboratory visits at UniStem 2017, the biggest European event for science outreach.
The love for science begins at a young age, that’s why UniStem Day is dedicated to high school students. On the 17th of March they will meet researchers and science journalists of national and international fame, who work in the most prestigious European Universities.
Thanks to the hundreds of people that every year are involved in the organization of this important science-outreach event, UniStem keeps growing and involving more and more young people.
